Specialist Schools (All Year Levels)
Bowls Victoria works with the Northern Special Schools Sports Association (NSSSA) and the Southern Special Schools Sports Association (SSSSA) to deliver our All Abilities Bowls Program.
The program provides opportunities for students with a disability, from metropolitan based Specialist Schools, to take part in bowls clinics either at their school or their local bowls club. Experienced club volunteers help facilitate the in-school sessions with modified equipment that are fun and engaging.
Competitions are also held for NSSSA and SSSSA students. The NSSSA competition is held in Term 4 at Deer Park Bowls Club and Darebin City Bowls Club. The SSSSA competition is held at the end of June at Donvale Bowls Club, Ashburton Bowls Club and City of Frankston Bowls Club.
These yearly programs culminate in a Victorian State School Final for All Abilities Students held at Darebin City Bowls Club in December.
