FUNDING + GRANT OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPORTS CLUBS

Each year there are a number of opportunities for clubs to access funding to help upgrade facilities, purchase equipment, up-skill volunteers, support athletes, or develop new targeted programs.

The list below provides information on the various funding bodies who offer grants each year. To learn more about each, including open dates, closing dates and submission process, please visit each funding bodies website. Information on how to access emergency grants after a fire, flood, theft or criminal damage are also listed.

We encourage clubs to sign up to each funding bodies mailing list to be notified when funding becomes available. Further to this, Bowls Australia have provided a fact sheet to help clubs obtain funding. You can download a copy from the Bowls Australia website.

VICSPORT

VicSport offer a comprehensive list of all sport and recreation grants available in Victoria as they become available. To learn more, please visit the VicSport website.



SPORT AND RECREATION VICTORIA (SRV)

SRV funding grants become active at various times throughout the year. Guidelines are available when funding is open. We advise clubs to check the SRV’s website on a regular basis to see what grants are open. For more information about SRV funding and loans, please visit the SRV website.

SPORTING CLUB GRANTS PROGRAM

The Sporting Club Grants Program provides grants to assist in the purchase of sports uniforms and equipment and to improve the capacity and accessibility of Victorian clubs and other community sport and recreation organisations and increase the skills of their coaches, officials and managers.

EMERGENCY SPORT AND RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT

These grants provide assistance to grassroots sport and active recreation clubs and organisations to replace essential sporting or first aid equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of fire, flood, significant storm event, theft or criminal damage. No Closing Date.

GRANTS VICTORIA – SPORT & RECREATION

VicHealth provides health promotion funding for sporting clubs, mental health organisations and more. Funding grants become active at various times throughout the year and guidelines are available when funding is open. Visit the VicHealth website to view open and upcoming grant opportunities.

(formally the Australian Sports Commission)

VOLUNTEER GRANTS

Volunteer Grants aim to support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers. The grants provide small amounts of money that organisations and community groups can use to help their volunteers. To learn more about Volunteer Grants, please visit the Australian Government website.
